I got two stories. Two!
Deadpool (and Cable) - tidings of joy (or something like it)
<3 <3 <3 What's better for Christmas? Okay, so, it's Boxing Day here, but pfft.
AND
Kel and Dom (Tamora Pierce) - Slice of a Moment
This is the request I didn't expect to see. Not at all. So to see it there, was fabulous. Kel and Dom, being themselves and adorable is such a wonderful present.
I really suck at trying to explain how much I love these stories, but I really, really do. Thank you so much, Santy! |

So, there was hnix and I in the middle of The Galleries Victoria cackling like hyenas.
Over what, you ask.
Well, we were riffing on the pairing names that really should be used specifically for Warped 04 and 05.

Please be telling us your favourites. Also, any others on a similar theme you can think up.
Given the commonality of Frank in each, we think it could be a reason he showered more than anyone else. |

hnix and I were talking about this the other day and we worked out that we are in agreement about this, which is pretty damn funny. We love Frank, we do, guitar-playing pornface is a thing of beauty, but it has to be said.

I was having a think about how I imagine things, how I write, and it got me curious. For the record, I am primarily visual, so writing for me is like trying to construct a word picture. How do you construct things in your head?

Sometimes, Bryar, you are prettier than Frank and Gerard combined. Maybe because it's kind of unexpected -- you hide it better by being a pseudo-boofy boy the rest of the time. |

Gay rights law to be overriden David Humphries [SMH] June 7, 2006
THE ACT law enshrining legal rights for same-sex couples will be overriden because the Federal Government insists the law provocatively and deliberately tries to legitimise gay marriage.
After cabinet decided to disallow the ACT Civil Unions Act, the Attorney-General, Philip Ruddock, accused the ACT Chief Minister, Jon Stanhope, of "a cynical attempt" to "undermine the institution of marriage".
Unlike the 1997 overriding of Northern Territory law facilitating voluntary euthanasia, the ACT law will be quashed by executive edict, not by the Federal Parliament.
The Queensland Liberal MP Warren Entsch said the law could still be rescued by the erasure of all references to marriage.
"But it won't change my position," he said.
Mr Entsch plans to proceed with a private member's bill aimed at "removing legal discrimination" against same-sex unions across Australia.
The ACT Attorney-General, Simon Corbell, conceded his Government was left "with very limited options", but the Federal Parliament could override the disallowance. He said he had been "quite confident" the Commonwealth would not intervene. The law was passed last month.
Mr Ruddock said yesterday that "despite public assurances", amendments "had not altered the substance of the ACT laws, which make it clear that same-sex civil unions are just marriage by another name".
Emphasis is mine. You say that, under law, de facto relationships = marriage after a couple has spent a minimum of a year together and yet you can't allow the same rights to same sex couples. Cabinet? You suck, you bigotted dickheads. Sanctity of marriage, my arse. |

In the spirit of all things getting organised and Supernatural, i_naiad, claire and I were thinking of putting together a SeSa, but to go live with the stories on November 2nd.
We still have to work out the full logistics for it [ claire, we have to talk about code at some point] and there will be a poll at some point over the weekend to gauge interest, but we just wanted to give a heads up that it was in the wind.
Probably looking at having a two month write time if we use that date, mainly because of winchestercon and the fact that i_naiad and I are going to be there and roadtripping from October 6th to 21st. The more time the better, right? |

*head/desk*
Dammit.
So, iconing/graphicy people, lend me your favourite fonts. I need to find and rebuild. |
